Art Deco-Inspired Shoot

Art Deco is one of my wife Cathy’s and my favorite art styles, and when I saw the face of our model Jarisse Go I immediately thought of doing an Art Deco treatment for at least one layout. Jarisse was tall, with a nicely patrician face and really long hair that could be done up nicely. We tried a variety of poses, then Cat and I realized there was something missing to complete the lines. Then we tried the scarf. Bingo. The elegant drape of the scarf was exactly what we needed to set off her gown and her height. We also loved that our model was pretty toned, so her back muscles have some nice definition.
