Team Q Photography is an outfit with a split personality, because it’s a husband and wife and team. Dariel and Cathy Quiogue have been into photography since the mid-1980s, and shortly after marriage finally decided to take the plunge and go into photography as a full-time profession. We know it’s crazy to change careers so late in life, but when you really love something you just gotta do it.
Dariel took up Communication Arts, with photography and film courses, in De La Salle University, had a short stint in Adphoto Inc. as a photographer’s assistant, and after some years as a stockbroker, returned to his passion through teaching. He taught photography for Kodak Philippines’ Retail Excellence program, for the Federation of Philippine Photographers’ Foundation (FPPF), and the College of Saint Benilde. He’s the more technical half of Team Q.
Cathy took up Fine Arts at the College of the Holy Spirit in Manila precisely to learn photography, and has been an avid portraitist and street photographer ever since. She is the more artistic side of Team Q. Together with Dariel she has contributed as writer/photographer to Digital Photographer Philippines, Lonely Planet Philippines, Wedding Belle, Golfpunk Philippines, Working Mom, Manila Bulletin’s Picture Perfect supplement and Frame One Magazine, and both are regular contributors to Zee Lifestyle Magazine.
